Making History: The Youngest Drone Pilots in Guam

At just 16 years old, these high schoolers mastered complex aviation topics such as airspace regulations, aerodynamics, weather patterns, and aviation chart reading—subjects typically reserved for adult professionals.

Since 16 is the minimum age to take the FAA Part 107 knowledge test, these students are now officially among Guam’s youngest certified drone pilots. Their achievement marks a major milestone in drone education and opens the door to exciting career opportunities in aviation, engineering, and technology.
