Mapping Palau Terrace's
LiDAR scan for Palauan archaeology acquisition
2cofly completed a 3000 acre archaeology scan in the beautiful state of Aimeliik, Palau. We outputted aerial photos, 1' contours, 3D colorized point clouds, and digital elevation models.
It took roughly 12 days to finish the project with 10 of those days on the field. Utilizing 2 drones; the DJI M350 RTK and DJI M300 RTK. Which both had the Zenmuse L2 LiDAR sensor made the data collection much faster.
As this site was heavily vegetated, conducting this survey with just the traditional method would have taken several months to complete.
